I Fucking Hate Page 1

Fighting Writer's Block by venting at the blank page.

There’s no other way to put it.

It just sits there looking all blank and white and pristine.

Untouched.  Virginal.  Smug.

The first page in any new notebook, or the first post on a new blog. There’s really no difference.  Either way you’re stuck with it.  Just sitting there.  Daring you to write something awesome.  Waiting. Judging.

Eventually though you just have to say, “Fuck it!” and write something.
It really doesn’t matter what. It definitely doesn’t matter if it’s any good. It just needs to get your mind working. To get you past that mental roadblock that makes you afraid to sully this blank slate with anything less than absolute perfection.

The good stuff will come later. Once you get into your stride and the flow of your creative juices grows from a trickle to a torrent. Find your voice. Let your audience find you. Grow together. Learn what you can from them while sharing what you’re able to in return. Blah fucking blah fucking blah!

But above all else, FUCK PAGE ONE! Get it out of the way and get on with what really matters, creating kick-ass content to fill the rest of your pages.

And now that I’ve got that off my chest let’s all move on and see where the rest of this ride takes us. The next post will be a lot more interesting. I promise.
